The first Web Athletics case was born at the end of 2019 by the will of Matteo Penna (CEO of Wirinform srl) and Sveva Gerevini (Athlete and Italian champion of combined track and field events, heptathlon).
Digital and athletics may seem two distant worlds, but, by integrating, they have given life to a unique project. There are two main goals: to offer visibility to one of the most spectacular disciplines of athletics (Web Athletics for sport) and at the same time to create corporate content in order to carry out marketing campaigns with a strong sporting impact (Web Athletics for companies).
Web Athletics was involved in the production of the website, video, photo shoot, storytelling and in the creation of the comics.
And it is precisely the rediscovery of the effectiveness of comics that today makes Web Athletics a market leader in the creation of this content: “Comics’ got talent”.
The whole digital strategy is focused on the website which has become the center and culmination of social campaigns and SEO research.
In 2020, during the pandemic, Web Athletics carried out the first “donation crowdfunding” project: LET’S HELP TOGETHER!
